How to read the signals

Readable on screen does not mean searchable inside.

A scanned PDF may contain only page images. Another PDF may contain a hidden text layer that exists but is scrambled, incomplete or detached from tables and columns.

Image-only signal

No meaningful embedded text cues were found in the inspected PDF segment. OCR or document recovery may be required.

Text-layer signal

Embedded text cues exist, but this does not prove that words, reading order or table structure are correct.

Low-resolution image

Small pixel dimensions can erase character detail before OCR begins, especially for handwriting and fine print.

Complex-layout signal

Tables, marginal notes, checkboxes and multiple columns need structural recovery, not text recognition alone.

Evidence before purchase

Match the failure to a public rescue case.
